Foxwood Digital Cafe

Our Digital Cafes are popping up across the city of York, providing a space for York residents to get dedicated support in getting online.
Hosted in a 2 hour session, residents can come down for a warm drink and to ask any questions (and bring along any devices).
Our volunteers are here to help you get online, from setting up a smart phone to signing up to the NHS app or York Council website.
No bookings are required and you can stick around for a few minutes, or a few hours, everyone is welcome at the Keeping Digital Foundation Digital Cafes.

Hello Foxwood! Your new Digital Cafe launches this May!

Visit us at the Foxwood Community Centre from 12pm-2pm for free support with any of your digital devices, a warm drink and a chat.
We're here to help you feel confident getting online, and to provide support from managing your emails, opening Facebook or even getting a free SIM card through our Databank!

Databank support available at this Digital Cafe

The York Databank distributes free SIMs and mobile data to eligible residents, ensuring residents aren't cut off from the basic daily activities most people in our country take for granted. No-one should be left behind. Residents can find out if they are eligible and speak to a volunteer at a Digital Cafe to get started.

Our Foxwood Digital Cafe is a safe space.

If you are experiencing domestic abuse or are in danger, we are here to support you. Pop in to one of our Digital Cafes and say you have an appointment with Ani. One of our volunteers will then take you for a 1-1 appointment in a private room at one of our Digital Cafe locations.

We will then allow you to use a phone to call 999, or to speak to a domestic abuse support helpline. Alternatively, if you do not want to ring an organisation or the emergency services, we can talk to you about referring you to a domestic abuse organisation or provide you with more information on how you can get support.
