Keeping Digital CIC provides services across the UK (and even further)
Keeping Digital CIC runs a whole variety of services across the region, from digital making activities to digital inclusivity support.
Some of our brands you know and love
Sure, we're called Keeping Digital CIC, but you probably know us for our range of brands and services we run across North Yorkshire and the rest of the country.
Keeping Digital Foundation
North Yorkshire
The Keeping Digital Foundation is our main organisation and brand, and is North Yorkshire's leading digital inclusivity charitable organisation. We run a range of digital making activities across North Yorkshire and our digital inclusion services, like our Digital Cafes, in York.
Gwiddle
England, Scotland, Wales & N.I.
Relaunched in 2023, Gwiddle is now proudly part of Keeping Digital CIC. Providing free digital making activities for young people across the UK, Gwiddle promotes creativity and aims to inspire a new generation through projects and workshops.
Gwiddle Club

Rolling out across North Yorkshire, Gwiddle are launching a range of free clubs to allow young people the space to learn new skills and build exciting projects, with the guidance of Gwiddle volunteers. Watch out for your nearest launching soon.
York MakerFest
York
Based at the National STEM Centre in York, York MakerFest aims to be a leading festival celebrating all things making, helping people showcase their projects and inspire others to take up new hobbies.
YorkPi.tech
International
In a partnership with ModMyPi and later The Pi Hut, we launched the Jam HAT, an add-on board for the Raspberry Pi that makes it easy to get started with electronics. Since, it's been used at workshops across the globe and is loved by customers.
York Pi Jam
York
Our original digital making activity, York Pi Jam is for beginners particularly, and also people who know a bit about Raspberry Pi computers! You don’t need to bring a Raspberry Pi as we have some you can use – but if you’d like to bring your own kit please feel free to do so.
Get support at our Digital Cafes
Our Digital Cafes are popping up across the city of York, providing a space for York residents to get dedicated support in getting online.
Hosted in a 2 hour session, residents can come down for a warm drink and to ask any questions (and bring along any devices).
Our volunteers are here to help you get online, from setting up a smart phone to signing up to the NHS app or York Council website.
At selected Digital Cafes across the city of York, the Keeping Digital Foundation are providing free digital workshops provided by our dedicated volunteers.
Whether you are looking to use our branding to help spread the word of our services, or to create posters for a fundraiser, please refer to our brand guidelines to ensure you are using the Keeping Digital CIC brand correctly. Our team are here to help!
