The following digital making activities will be becoming part of the new Gwiddle Club network this year! As part of our relaunch of Gwiddle, we are building a new and improved network of digital making activities.
York CoderDojo will be becoming Gwiddle Club York from Saturday 6th July
Northallerton CoderDojo has become Gwiddle Club Northallerton
Harrogate Pi Jam will be becoming Gwiddle Club Harrogate from Saturday 4th May

We'll still be the same great team with the same amazing volunteers, and not much will change with the projects and great experiences young people have at our services.

The only real change you will notice is our names. Our names will be changing to help make it easier for people to find their local, free digital making activity across North Yorkshire! For now, we are continuing to be known as York CoderDojo and Harrogate Pi Jam, and you don't need to do anything. All of our activities will continue to be bookable on My Keeping Digital, and we'll let you know when our new webpage is live later this year.

If you have any questions about the new names for some of our digital making activities, please email our team at hello@keepingdigital.org.uk.

York CoderDojo

York CoderDojo is a friendly place to meet and develop your coding and tech skills or learn something new. We run informal sessions where young people from 7-17 and families can come along and work on projects, develop new skills, participate in challenges, whatever you want. We’re here to provide guidance, encouragement & support in a relaxed environment.

York Pi Jam

York Pi Jam happens usually every other month. That is: January then March. It’s for beginners particularly, and also people who know a bit about Raspberry Pi computers! You don’t need to bring a Raspberry Pi as we have some you can use – but if you’d like to bring your own kit please feel free to do so.

Gwiddle

Gwiddle works to improve access to digital technology and also support young people in Computer Science education. To allow more students to get involved and try coding, we're providing free website hosting so students can test code and build exciting projects, with the aim to inspire the next generation.

The Jam HAT

Buttons, buzzers and bright LEDs! If you're starting on your Raspberry Pi journey, we've got the board just for you. We've teamed up with The Pi Hut to bring you the Jam HAT! The JAM HAT is the perfect add-on board for learning how to code electronic hardware with the Raspberry Pi, and designed for use by beginners, schools and coding clubs in an easy-to-use, clearly laid out format.
