As part of the Keeping Digital Foundation's relaunch of Gwiddle, our digital making activities across North Yorkshire are to rebrand to become part of Gwiddle Club, a new nationwide initative offering free coding workshops to young people.
The Keeping Digital Foundation is excited to announce the launch of our new name for our digital making activities - Gwiddle Clubs!

Based in North Yorkshire, the Keeping Digital Foundation has been dedicated to providing digital inclusion support and engaging digital making activities for everyone in the community. Whether you are in York, Northallerton, Harrogate, or anywhere else in North Yorkshire, we are here to help you embrace the world of digital technology.

Our Gwiddle Clubs are designed to inspire creativity, innovation, and digital skills in a fun and interactive way. From coding and programming to robotics and web development, our clubs offer a wide range of activities for all ages and skill levels. Whether you are a beginner or a tech-savvy enthusiast, there is something for everyone at our Gwiddle Clubs.

Our rebranding to Gwiddle Clubs reflects our commitment to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for young people. We believe that by reimagining digital making activities as Gwiddle Clubs, we can create a unique and engaging experience for our community members.

Keeping Digital CIC first announced they were relaunching the Gwiddle service in 2023, providing free hosting for students across the UK, to allow more students to get involved and try coding with the aim to inspire the next generation.

Gwiddle Clubs will work to complement the current Gwiddle offering and brand, by hosting clubs across the country that encourage young people aged 7-17 to work on projects, develop new skills, and participate in challenges, whilst our volunteers are there to provide guidance, encouragement & support in a relaxed environment.

At the Keeping Digital Foundation, we are passionate about empowering individuals to explore their digital creativity and unleash their full potential. Through our Gwiddle Clubs, we aim to foster a sense of curiosity, collaboration, and innovation among our members. Whether you are interested in learning new skills, meeting like-minded individuals, or simply having fun, our Gwiddle Clubs have something for everyone.

Northallerton CoderDojo, Harrogate Pi Jam, and York CoderDojo will all be rebranding to Gwiddle Clubs over the coming year, whilst York Pi Jam will continue to operate under the Raspberry Pi Jam branding. Our same friendly volunteers will be at our Gwiddle Clubs, and Gwiddle Clubs will continue to be organised by the same great teams that have been working in our local communities for the past 8 years.
