My Keeping Digital is the new home for booking onto our free services across the region, including York CoderDojo and our digital inclusion workshops.
The Keeping Digital Foundation can confirm the launch of the organisation's new online booking tool that will replace the usage of external sites like Eventbrite that some of our digital making activities have used for the past 6 years.

My Keeping Digital will allow the public to easily access and sign up for our digital making and digital inclusion services across the region, with better understanding of who your data is processed by and how we use that data to keep you informed of future services.

The new booking tool also removes the requirement to create an account when signing up to services, with tickets accessible by simply confirming your email address.
York CoderDojo is the first digital making activity to join the system, with the remaining digital making activities across North Yorkshire joining early March.

My Keeping Digital will also be used for the expansion of our digital inclusion services, with new workshops to appear on the booking hub in March 2023. These workshops will cover topics like managing your email inbox, selling items online, creating a Facebook account and being scam aware. All workshops will be free and will be hosted across the city of York as part of our partnership with 100% Digital York.

Our Digital Cafes will remain a free walk-in service which do not require a booking and therefore won't appear on My Keeping Digital.

Links to book onto our free services will continue to appear on the relevant pages on our website.

A spokesperson for the Keeping Digital Foundation commented:

"2023 is set to be another exciting year for the Keeping Digital Foundation with us already launching a whole new booking tool that will make it even easier to book onto our digital making activities and digital inclusion services across North Yorkshire.

"It's a sign of further commitment to the region with frequent digital making activities taking place across the region, giving North Yorkshire's young people the same opportunities to learn new and important skills, regardless of technology that they may have access to at home or at school.

"It also paves the way for the launch of our new digital inclusion workshops that will accompany our expanding Digital Cafe network. These free workshops will cover topics that may be of interest to the residents of York, from creating an email account to becoming scam aware in a digital world. Our Digital Cafe network is also expanding this year with new locations to be revealed throughout the year.

"My Keeping Digital launches as part of a year of upgrades to both our website, with the new-look having launched last Summer, and our VolunteerPortal that has made it even easier for new and existing volunteers to view their achivements and to find opportunities that they can get involved in.

"We're incredibly excited and proud for this new upgrade to rollout and we can't wait to see you at some of our services across the region this year!"
